Sponsors First Tournament at New, One-of-a-Kind Max Billiards in Germany

Brunswick Billiards, through its partner Billiard Beckmann in Kaiserslautern, Germany, worked alongside the owners of Max Billiards Center in Oberhausen to establish Europe’s most stunning billiards club. The site recently hosted its first tournament, welcoming 64 top players in the Brunswick European 10-Ball Open.

This 25-table club is a one-of-a kind billiards venue housed in a building originally constructed in 1909 as a power plant and steel mill that built turbine engines. The space’s 50-foot ceilings create a unique environment for the facility’s upscale décor, which includes 20-foot-tall, custom Art Deco lamps that pop in various colors to the beat of the music. Massive arched windows drip with red velvet drapes to create an opulent, crimson glow throughout the room.

In addition to housing 23 Brunswick Gold Crown V tables and two Riley snooker tables, the massive recreation facility also features four indoor soccer arenas, a disco and a concert hall.

The Brunswick Gold Crown V is considered to be one of the best pool tables in production.

US professional player Oscar Dominguez, aka “The Big O”, is the newest member of the Tiger Products team. He joins forces with such elite players on the Team Tiger lineup as: Shawn Putnam, Neil Fujiwara, Samm Diep, and Mazin Shooni.

Greg Knight And Management Acquire Leading Billiard Manufacturing Company
The management of McDermott Cue Manufacturing, together with Greg Knight, completed a Management Buy Out (MBO) of the company on April 10, 2009.

 Greg Knight, along with management, is excited to announce the formation of McDermott Cue Mfg., LLC of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. McDermott Cue is the world’s leading billiard equipment company with its internationally recognized brands, McDermott Handcrafted Cues and Intimidator High Performance Shafts. Its product line, which includes high quality two-piece billiard cues, shafts, cases and accessories, is sold worldwide in over 40 countries.

In the transaction, Greg Knight, a Milwaukee-based independent businessman, teamed with McDermott’s executive management team of Nat Rosasco, President/CEO, who has been with the company since 2003, and Larry Liebl, Executive Vice President, an industry veteran who joined the company in 1976. Mr. Rosasco and Mr. Liebl both will continue in their current roles at the helm of the company, and Mr. Knight will serve as Director.
