Smoky Mountain Tables are made entirely of solid North American hardwoods. The top rails are made from American Hard Rock Maple while every other component of the table is built from American Tulipwood. The Power Liner Stabilizing Platform has been laboratory tested to withstand over 20,000 lbs of weight and creates a smooth level surface without imperfections on which the slate can rest. Not only will you be getting the best woods, the best set up and frame durability, but also each table comes with the finest oversized slate that is diamond honed to create the perfect playing surface. Each 1” thick piece of slate is rechecked at the Smoky Mountain Factory for flatness and is backed with a 3/4” backing board per BCA regulations. Backing the slate allows for quieter play and more effective professional cloth installation, in addition, the backed slate reduces breakage during transport. The pool table rails are delivered to the customer pre-covered in their choice of cloth.
